Bolivia law will soon allow nature to have human rights

Bolivia wins the "dumb idea of the week" award

Bolivia will soon have a law called "law of mother earth" in which all of nature is givern equal rights to humans... All I can say to this is that somebody really dropped the ball on this one. Will your pet iguana now be recieving a welfare check? He has the right to a healthy living too. Actually, since this new law makes animals equal to humans no one in Bolivia should be allowed to eat meat it would be a federal crime on par with murder. Actually, corn and squash are part of nature too.

God help people of bolivia if this law is actually enforced... anyone who fights off salmonella could be tried for murder and executed spend life in prison

For the last few decades we seem to have been taking a very hands on role in the middle east. I propose a new policy. As opposed to the traditional wars in which we enter the nation and try to make it better for its people, I suggest we simply assassinate the leaders who make our world less safe, and let the chips fall where they may. there will likely be some other power hungry dictator who takes his place, and if that guy continues killing his own people/building nukes/destabilizing the region, we can assassinate him too... I'm sure the third guy will behave.

Whats the purpose of a regime change? What good does it do us? we want the bad guy to change his behavior, he won't. we can quietly remove him from power.

this plan is not a catch-all solution. If Kim Jong Il was killed, it will likely start a war between the DPRK and South Korea. but for a situation like Iran? if the right people were killed I believe it will stablize the region.

In  any case, assassination is a  method we have never used, but it may behoove us to consider it in future situations.

Is Islam compatible with American Values?

Islam considers Mohamed to be the perfect man, and therefore, everything he does is what Muslims are to hold as their example, the more like Mohamed you are, the closer you are to perfection. from the Koran, his biography, and the Hadith, which records his words and opinions on different events. That is where we get Islamic law. A Muslim man is not only allowed to execute gays, beat his wife, and kill non-believers, but he is commanded to.  The mistake librals and others make is they consider Islam to be a religion akin to christianity or hinduism. In reality, Islam is a complete governmental system, complete with a code of laws (sharia) a culture, a dress code, (hajibs) food preparation guidlines (Hallal) and even a country (the Caliphate). Islam is abslute rules which are held in every aspect of a muslims life.

When a man executes his daughter for dressing immodestly and is vindicated by sharia law, can we honestly say that this is in concert with the Constitution? Our own bill of rights grants each of us proclaims that we are granted by God the individual rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. No one can make the claim that stoning homosexuals mirrors american values, but Sharia Law declares homosexuality is a crime punishable by death. These views can never be reconciled.

Can a good Muslim be a good American? I think not.

Who cares about the royal wedding?

Why do Americans care about the royal wedding? Between the rising gas prices, the natural disasters, and the 2012 election, why waste time talking about a marriage that won't even effect england, let alone the USA... this might have been relevant 250 years ago, but at a certain point its just meaningless

We finally have the birth certificate

If you haven't heard yet Obama released his long form birth certificate  today, what happens in the next few days or hours will be very interesting, Trump says he will have his people look over it, but I assume its real. I think this is a real win for The Donald since this shows him to be a leader who can get BHO to release a long form birth certificate. On the other hand, It may knock him out of the race since he seemed to put all political weight behind this one issue.

thoughts?
